About the Artisan

Cushendale Woolen Mills (est. 1778) is located in Graiguenamanagh, a picturesque Irish town on the River Barrow with a rich textile legacy spanning more than eight centuries. Run by the Cushen family since the 18th century, they continue to craft heirloom-quality pieces in a mill dating back to 1204.

Cushendale and Graiguenamanagh are part of the World Crafts Council-designated Craft City & Region—one of only four in Europe.
