It offers a precise, permanent, and highly detailed way to personalize leather, etched directly onto the leather surface. Unlike traditional embossing, laser engraving burns the surface layer of the leather, resulting in a subtle contrast that varies based on the leather’s color and finish. Please read the following contrast & color considerations.
- Lighter leather tones (tan, beige, natural, caramel) create a high-contrast engraving, making designs more prominent and visually striking.
- Darker leather shades (brown, navy, black, deep burgundy) produce a lower-contrast effect, with a more subtle, tone-on-tone look. The engraving blends more into the leather, offering a refined and understated aesthetic.
- Matte and unfinished leather typically absorb laser engraving more evenly, while glossier or coated finishes may have a softer contrast.
