Fit & Sizing

This unisex hat has a 23” (approx. 58.4 cm) circumference. To find your perfect fit, measure around your head—just above the ears and across the forehead—where a hat naturally sits. Sheepskin offers natural stretch and elasticity, and the wool gently compresses with wear for a tailored feel.

Material

Hurricane Curly Merino Sheepskin is one of Owen Barry’s most beloved materials—known for its soft, curly texture and durable structure. The outer pelt features a subtle Napalan finish, offering a protective leather surface that repels dirt and moisture while enhancing the luxurious patina.

• Hurricane Napalan: Aged, distressed finish that develops character over time.
• Snowcap Shearling: A natural tipping effect that enhances texture and depth.

Product Care

Store your sheepskin hat in a clean, dry, dark place—preferably inside a dust bag or garment cover. Avoid long-term exposure to sunlight, which can cause fading, and protect from moths or rodents during extended storage.

• For Sueded Sheepskin: Revive dullness using a dry scouring pad—start with the foam side, then gently buff the nap. Shake and vacuum afterward to lift dust and refresh texture.
• Rain Exposure: Allow to dry naturally in a warm, airy space. Once dry, knead gently to soften and use a scouring pad to restore the suede nap.
• Spot Cleaning: For spills like wine or juice, use mild soap and lukewarm water. Rinse carefully without soaking. For oil or ink, contact us for professional advice.
• Napalan & Hurricane Finishes: Naturally resistant to dirt—light spot cleaning is sufficient for most care.
• Wool Side: Use a comb or brush to refresh wool, or simply shake and vacuum. Avoid brushing tight curls to prevent fuzzing.
• Professional Cleaning: Avoid dry cleaning; consult a sheepskin specialist if deeper care is needed.
