Material, Cleaning & Care

Handmade Jewelry Care Tips:

• Store jewelry away from open air and moisture.
• Avoid contact with chemicals like sunscreen, hairspray, perfume, and lotion.
• Wash gently with soap and water after wearing; dry thoroughly.
• Remove before exercising—sweat and salt can damage metals.
• Use a jewelry polishing cloth or cleaner to restore shine.

Does Sterling Silver Tarnish?

Yes, but it’s easy to clean. Store sterling silver pieces in an airtight container away from humidity. Use a silver liquid jewelry cleaner—dip, rinse well, and dry thoroughly. Avoid dipping stones or pearls—they can lose their luster.

What Is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled jewelry offers the luxurious look of solid gold at a more accessible price. It’s created by permanently bonding a thick layer of real gold (1/20th by weight) to a core metal like nickel-free jeweler’s brass.

Unlike standard gold plating, gold-filled jewelry contains 100x more gold and won’t peel, flake, or wear under normal conditions. With proper care, gold-filled pieces can last a lifetime and even be passed down for generations.
