About the Artisan
Cushendale Woolen Mills is located in Graiguenamanagh, a picturesque Irish town located on the river Barrow that has a distinguished history and tradition of wool and textile manufacturing spanning over eight centuries. Run by the Cushen family who has
been involved in woollen textile manufacturing since the 18th century. They weave their creations in a mill dating back to 1204.
Cushendale and Graiguenamanagh are part of the World Crafts Council designated Craft City & Region, one of only four regions in Europe.
